Description
About the Triskelion:
First observed at the Newgrange Stone Age passage tomb in Boyne Valley, Ireland, the “three-legged” spiral was adopted by ancient Pagan Celts, and heavily developed into numerous variant designs in the British Isles before the influx of Christianity. Though its original meaning is lost to the ages, its importance to the civilizations that have adopted it remains significant. The Triskelion has been conflated with the Holy Trinity in the modern Christian tradition.
