Description
About the Green Man:
The Green Man is an iconic and pervasive symbol of the old world; a vestige of nature worship that transcended the early civilizations of Western Europe to survive in Christian, Celtic, and Norse art. Depicted here with classically derived Nordic features that were inspired by ancient stone carvings, our Green Man powerfully symbolizes renewal, rebirth, and resurrection.
The original artwork was made by Vitor Gonzalez of ArsCeltica and is copyrighted to Celtic Leatherworks.
About Our Sporrans:
Like all of our products, our sporran is made by hand in our workshop right here in the USA. We hand-select the beads on our leather drawstring cords to complement the bag, though bead colors may vary depending on what we have in stock.
This is the largest capacity sporran that we offer. It can easily accommodate a phone, wallet, keys, and more.
All of our themed sporrans come with an interchangeable flap that can be switched out for any other flap on our site, providing your bag with more versatility!
Functionality:
The bag utilizes a leather drawstring cord to close the bag at the top. The second leather cord is used to loop over the concho or clasp on the flap to hold it closed. The back of the sporran is reinforced at the top with vegetable-tanned leather. The flap attaches to the back of the bag at the top with heavy-duty snaps. There are two D-rings to attach the sporran to a belt. The loop will comfortably fit on a 2.5-inch belt should you choose to wear it that way.
Dimensions:
Flap only – 4.5 in W x 6 in L
Rob Roy Style Sporran Pouch only – 8.5 in W x 9 in H*
*By design, our sporran includes quite a few folds in the leather and is expandable beyond these dimensions
