About Fenrir:
Wolves are elusive creatures in ancient mythology. Sometimes operating on behalf of benevolent forces (and sometimes not), wolves appear in the surviving histories of a litany of cultures across the Old World and the New. Long associated with strength within close communities, the wolf represents both the danger and power inherent in leadership. The skins of wolves were often worn as a symbol of prestige and distinction, which may be the origin of persistent mythological traditions of skin-changing between man and lupine beast. It was a she-wolf that nursed the infants Romulus and Remus, founders of Rome, and a wolf that was the chosen battle mount of the Norse giantess Hyrrokin. Our wolf design features one of Loki’s offspring, the wolf, Fenrir.
